A small collection of Spencer microscopes.
The only other one I really want to add is a model 33 with the rhodium plated occular tube.
An early all brass one might be nice...

I have a few old Spencers, but none as nice as those. I think I've burned through my microscope collecting money for a while. I would like to get an early binocular model, from the '20s someday. I might be tempted to bid on an incomplete one if it shows up for a low opening bid and try to complete it with parts from one or more of my old monocular models.

Very nice complete and well cared for Spencers.

The dissecting scope is a No. 82 and the one from the University is a No.63B., one of the family of No.63's that had a disc diaphragm, rather than a condenser and diaphragm. There were 8 models of No.63, from the 63B, with 2 objectives, a 10x eyepiece, plain square stage and disc diaphragm up to the 63MH, which had a triple nosepiece, 3 objectives, 2 eyepieces,1.25 abbe condenser and a mechanical square stage.

Terrific chorus line of vintage microscopy, thanks Radazz. I love that mellow brass and the brass objectives with 'silver metal endpieces/ spatts'!

Apo, do you know what the model 63 with an iris attached to the underside of the stage, but no condenser, and two objectives is suffixed?

Picked up a model 33 finally. A 1940.
Now on to other things.
