Here’s an interesting stand. A Bosch & Lomb jug handle microscope from ~1916 that is set up for photography. The horizontal tube slides a prism into and out of the main tube which diverts the light path. On the end is a 23mm occular tube surrounded by a cup about the right size for a speed graphic type lens. With a long bellows, it would focus on the image from an eyepiece in the tube.
Once this is lined up, however, you then would not be able to move the course focus without losing the alignment with the camera.
So there is an extra rack which moves the stage-sub stage assembly to focus.
The lever type fine focus wouldn’t move the main tube enough to effect the alignment.
If I can get a decent photo through this setup, I’ll add it to this thread.
Enjoy,
Radazz

I've never seen that type of photo port before, interesting.
I would bet that maintaining alignment of a Speed Graphic would have been a challenge, especially with the regular changing of film holders required.

*THAT* is one groovy setup. So I'm assuming that cup on the end of the horizontal photo-tube is 1/2 of a light baffle?

That sounds logical, none of the old catalogs I’ve found so far has anything like this.

Re: B&L photographic microscope
Often, the various specialized accessories or photo gear were put into dedicated catalogues. You just don't see a lot of that stuff in standard catalogues. As scarce as older B & L catalogues are, the accessory catalogues are even scarcer.
Rod. The camera was usually placed on it's own separate stand and then the camera and microscope were brought into proximity and locked into position, the microscope stand being on it's own adjustable base. The whole thing had a pretty big foot print.
