Bausch and Lomb 1876 Professional

Here is a 19th century Bausch and Lomb binocular microscope. There are so many things that turn, swivel and pivot. Gives some nice reasonable images.

That is a work of art as well as a piece of history. Gorgeous indeed!

I agree with CE and John. The exquisite workmanship and ingenuity that went into the mechoanical design of those old instruments give one so much enjoyment. Many thanks for showing us!

Actually when I bought this, I thougt it Was a Zeiss because a part on it has Zeiss on it, but it turns out it is a B&L.

I do buy other makes, mostly Spencer/AO, Leitz and some B&L as well as some Wild, Steindorff, Vickers, Baker and such. If it looks interesting, I try to buy it. :D

I love the old brass instruments. I have a similar model signed by some guy named John Benjamin Dancer. ;)
