dark field adaptation on classic camera setup for gem inclusion analyse.

Hi ;)

I m new here and no belong to the microscopic world.

I need some help and your expertise for a project I have for a wile.

1st the setup and purpose:

-canon 5DS
-novoflex balcan AF
-Zeiss makroplanar 100mm F2
-Raynox DCR-250
-wemacro autostaking rail

-Light: yuji bc-series-cob-135xl hight CRI 95+ 5W
adapted in Spotlight variable Focus lens Lamp with Adjustable Aperture before lens, moded with manual iris.
X4
Powered by acid batterie and Potentiometer 5W 10 TURN 10K to avoid no ripple !

All of that for gem and jewelry:

Many progress and improvement on the setup are on the way ...

One of the project I have is to adapt a dark field system mostly for a better look on the stone inclusion.

One of the most easy way to do, but not the beast:

with on one side a manual iris with bottom of the gem through.
and on the other side a conic dark deflector.

Or adapt an Dark Field/Bright Field Condenser, this is the reason I post here ;)

My question for example on the clasic LOMO OI-10
I found this interesting info: http://www.microscopy-uk.org.uk/mag/art ... denser.pdf

But not answer to all my questions:

1:I can DIY a collimated light source but its not evident anyway.
Did its possible to find the original light source module in spare part ?
or witch one can I adapt to have the right diameter ?
did some condenser have an the light entrie a lens collector ?

2: What is the light focus distance from the output of the Condenser in Dark Field and Bright Field mod ?

3: What is the light angle after the focus point in Dark Field mod, cause I m afraid direct light can reach the camera lens.

4: 30-37 mm condenser may be a bit tight to get an enough large angle after light crossing, larger one exist ?

I plan to use a manual iris mounted on a vertical manual rail as stone support.

If you have some idea, info, suggestion ... I m aware.

;)
