Bausch & Lomb Stereo Zoom 4- Connection to the Stand?

#1 Post by MicroBob » Thu Nov 08, 2018 7:40 pm

Hi together,
I bought a NOS Bausch & Lomb Stereo Zoom 4 as new old stock - just the head, no stand.
It is my preferred choice for my pond aquarium microscope on a manfrotto joint arm.
I have a focussing rail I can use but I need the shape of the socket where the head is inserted.

Does somebody have a drawing with a couple dimensions of the shape of the socket where the microscope head passes through? I'm pretty sure a better 3d print would suffice to hold it steady. Otherwise I would make it from aluminim or steel. I can see that the head is locked by moving something flat into two slots left and right, thats no problem.

If you p.m. me your email, I will make a tracing of the yoke with a scale reference, and email it to you. Should be able to do it Sunday.

The two slots on either side are for locking thumbscrews. There is an expanded section in the casting on either side that supports those.
