Re: id help please
It seems to be some species of Cyclidium or Pleuronema. It sure is a Scuticociliatid ciliate.

It is in the family Cyclidiidae, and is either Cyclidium or Cristigera. The cell is ciliated in the anterior, with long, splayed caudal cilia. The middle is bare. This pattern is common among species of Cristigera, however it is found in a few species of Cyclidium, too. It would help if we had a ventral view (Cristigera species normally have a furrow on the ventral surface).

Wonderful! Thanks so much. We got to see another in this species dividing. Watching the membrane move was amazing!
