Hi,

Xylem cell-wall part....

That's a piece of 'Xylem'secondary-wall thickening, from a plant's water-conducting system. The spiral secondary cell-wall seen here detached from the rest of the cells whence this section came is made primarily of tough (hence their strengthening function to hold-open water conduits) lignin. They often come loose and separate when hand-sectioning plant material.

Nice image, interesting!

Thanks for your help and for the biology lesson, I would never have identified it.

Most welcome, keep exploring!
You just happened to find a 'bit' in my area - just about anything you find will be of interest here. The kind folk here are able to identify the most amazing variety of critters etc! :D :D

Keep enjoying your 'scope my friend.

Hello,

I think it can also be an 'elater' that acts as a spring that projects spores out of the sporophytes of mosses, (mostly) in liverworts.
