Its a Stentor alright ..but what species?

#1 Post by Plasmid » Sat Nov 14, 2020 1:42 am

First video shows a free swimming Stentor, although my wife swears its a video of a microscopic snake.

Second video shows the same Stentor anchored to an algae, and can possibly help with the species ident.

Thank y'all for the help

No cortical pigments, no algal endosymbionts, vermiform macronucleus, so: S. roeselii.
