Naked amoebozoans can be difficult to ID at the best of times. When they are in their "floating form", as this one is, it is barely worth trying. :D Once it has settled on the substrate it will assume the shape it uses for feeding and foraging, and begin crawling about. Locomotive forms are more distinctive, and often permit us to see features such as the nuclei, uroid, cytoplasmic inclusions, which gives us a fighting chance at an identification. I would call this: "amoebozoan, floating form."
