another interesting microbe to id
We watched this one for some time. It seemed to have a protective layer/membrane/? that kept the bacteria on the outer edges. The bacteria concentrated on the edges for a bit, then gradually left. The microbe had some sort of pseudopodia radiating out of the spherical center.

This is a species of Nuclearia.

Thanks so much! What was keeping the bacteria away? Or was that what was happening?

Nuclearia are often surrounded by a mucous layer, in which bacteria become embedded. See: https://arcella.nl/nuclearia/
