A testate amoeba?
A testate amoeba?
Unfortunately the quality isn't very good, but it was a beautiful find. The object in question is what appears to be a test below the the synurid. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Luke

Thank you all for the kind comments. I have looked at a few online resources, but I haven't seen anything quite like it. I know nearly nothing about testate amoebae but hopefully that will change with time.
Re: A testate amoeba?
I think I can answer your identification enquiry. The yellow ball is The colonial flagellate Synura while the colourless spiky one is a Trachelomonas (not the same but similar to the one in the drawing).

Hello,
The lower one looks to me like a tardigrade egg.
