Mold Sample - Fungus - Spore Identification

#1 Post by BrantleyIV » Thu May 16, 2019 7:52 pm

I have a direct sample (tape lift) that came from mold growing on drywall inside of a wall cavity in a home. The smaller brown spores are Chaetomium, which are 12 microns in size. I'm not sure what type of spore this is, or if it is even a spore at all.

Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, taking a bit of an educated guess... Could be some kind of pollen maybe. Doesn't look like a spore. Regards Lene

Hi, looks very much like a pollen grain, possibly from the Lily family....
