Identification- whitish fibers on bricks

Appreciate if anyone can advise what this is
Found on bricks/ masonry wall

Hi,
I would suggest insect eggs or fungus. You might look for a stain that differentiates between these types of fibers.

Was the building undergoing repairs from a storm or flood? If you are working in a humid climate could be some kind of mold / fungus. Especially if the building was abandoned for a while or was damaged, etc. If you find out, let us know!
