Very small annelids, rotifers or other?

#1 Post by MicrobeGazer45 » Sat Apr 25, 2020 5:53 pm

Hello!

I took some images of some microorganisms a few days ago. They're dark brown, compact and seem to be divided in segments (that's why I think they may be some kind of annelids, although there are some small rotifers). Can anyone help me identify these creatures?
Images are too big, sorry about that.

Thanks,
Manuel R.

Found out a way to post them here!

They are mostly in groups and they don't move. I viewed some moss under the microscope and they were everywhere, maybe some kind of "spore-deliverer"?

Thanks,

Looks like they could be fungal spores. Search for "Xylomyces", look at the images and see what you think. (might be another genus but I do think they are fungal spores).
