Well I was saying COULD it be to someone. They color a filter with various colors then salt crystals or whatever have the various colors on them. They take photos of rock slices colored up and even say I am doing this as ART,.... so

I guess if someone shoved that over top their light as a filter maybe they would get rainbowed images somehow. Anyhow I won't post nothing "out there" again. (into the experimental art ideas)

To me, posting "out there" is what keeps ideas alive... I see it as a good thing...

But you can also get into fights in forums so I rather not make waves.

I might get this book-
http://www.amazon.com/Your-Microscope-H ... scope+book

Just gonna download that Kindle and read on the computer.

Hi Dennis,
I have seen that book before... Looks like a good one for stimulating the imagination.... The colored Rheinberg filters are sold on Ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rheinberg-Illum ... 3f46c26da9
That book seems to have other interesting info also...

I think if I ever get really interested in them, I will try to make my own... Sheets and pieces of colored polymer is for sale in lots of places... They may not be as good as what he sales, but they may might work well enough for me..

Yes - I 'made' some RFs from the gels that go over flash-heads, they really do work well, although I rarely use them it was interesting to 'have a try'...
Experimentation - even when somewhat obliquely relevant - is, within reason, an advantageous thing. :)

Bizarre - a book about coloured-filters that's in B & W - that's a new angle to me! :? I see the point - just... - seems curios though..... :) Anyway, it's an interesting subject for sure. Thanks for the link.

I expect 75RR just didn't get the connection and meant no offense so don't hesitate to post stuff.

WTH, if I don't like it I don't respond.

BTW, you can learn a lot about various filters on the net without spending anything. Check out tis site which is a good resources for lots of stuff.

Good luck with filters. They really expand the enjoyment of viewing :)
