Mechanical stage compatability.

#1 Post by MicroMan2 » Fri Mar 10, 2017 5:01 pm

I soon become an owner of a "new" Lomo Biolam with a circular stage. Does the Lomo accept most mechanical stages or do they need the specific CT-12?

My Biolam can take this one:

I guess it depends on the holes and spacing on the specific Biolam model and if those are compatible with particular stages.

My round stage has a variety of holes, perhaps to fit different XY mechanisms?
The LOMO mechanism is very good, though I read that some of the copy cats are good too.

Well the microscope seems to be a Zenith R-10 with a mirror if one refers to the Zenith Branded compilation on Miscape.
