Hi: I have been attempting to help an acquaintance whose father passed away and is trying to settle his estate.

Among his belongings were some microscope accessories which after hours of searching I have not been able to identify.

I am attaching some photos, hoping someone knows what they are or if they have any value.

Shipping costs to the U.K. would be prohibitive, so I can't express any interest.
However: Leitz and Wild items in good condition almost always attract high prices ... so continue your research, and advertise them well.

Specifically this is the drawing tube for the Wild M5--unfortunately it is the odd one out on compatibility, as other Wild stereos are still compatible with Leica M series microscopes. The M5 is old but still a classic, though, so there is still value to it.

The first group of filters and discs with cutouts, are an older Leitz. set. All six items are sized to slip into a well on a rotating levered disc under the condenser, if they are 28mm but could also be used under any condenser that can carry whatever their diameter is without the levered support. The two with the different geometric cutouts are for oblique illumination. They incorporate two cutout discs which can be set against each other for various oblique illumination areas and geometries. By adding the various filters, a kind of Rheinberg illumination setup can be obtained. Those are uncommon and useful, not just for a Leitz microscope.

Also - is there somewhere good where microscopes and accessories are bought and sold (aside from eBay)?

The first Leitz unit is a incident illumination unit for the Ultropak. Without the objectives I'm not sure how much it will fetch, but the illuminator itself is quite rare. Nice find.

This is pretty much seconding the comments above.

1) The filters and stops go with a condenser. Don't believe they're part of the Ultropak, but could be wrong.

1b) As noted, a part for an "Ultropak." I ended up with one of these, including several objectives, but have yet to use it. There is an instruction manual available by search.

2) Glad two other more knowledgeable members could help you on that.

3) As noted, a drawing attachment. Used to be a time when drawings were the best way to capture what was seen under the microscope. These days it's digital images.

I think Ebay is likely your best bet to sell these, now that you can better describe them.

Yes, you are right. I see that now. The masks and filters are part of that Ultropack There was also a levered carrier, that accepted filters of 28mm below the stage. The condenser body had a double level filter carrier, one for the tinted filters and one for the masks, which allowed for rotation via the lever. I'm not sure but the Ultropak filters and discs might be larger; maybe 34mm?
