AO 820 Microtome

#1 Post by Charles » Sat Apr 11, 2015 7:04 pm

My AO 820 microtome arrived a couple of days ago. It's heavier than I thought it would be, 65 lbs or 30Kg. Seems to be in really good condition and seems to operate as it should. Came with a Lipshaw knife which also seems to be in nice shape. I'll get it cleaned up and see about trying some sections.

That is indeed a wonderful looking machine. Precision engineering. Surprised at the weight, do watch your back!

Oh what a beautiful sight - I drool.... Waaaaay beyond my budget - I can't even begin to dream about owning and using such a majestic behemoth - it's enough to turn the mind of an amateur slicer!
Gimmeeeeee...... I'll be kind to it - it'd love it over here in the UK!
Lovely sight, many congratulations - you're a very lucky fellow. :D

Phew, I'm off to pat my trusty Rocker! :D
