Re: Zeiss Optical Systems brochure
What year was the guide made ? (These manuals never have any year stamp)
- Zeiss handbooks=gebrauchleitungs are usually in Germany and it is very frustrating to translate them.
+ Zeiss' microscope manuals are so mediocre (Like Laboval 2: guide is like 20 pages describing only the minimum surface info). They are not even close to maintenence guides
+ Also no microscope's assembly/explosion pictures available.

Laboval 2. 1978 Gebrauchsanleitung: 30-G060-1.
Asked a print directly from Zeiss.de. But it is in Germany. I don't understand it...
This "Optical guide" is for Zeiss West BRD and it is not combatible with Zeiss Jena DDR microscopes. I was about to order Ø23.2mm KPL-eyepieces and found out they are not combatible.

Re: Zeiss Optical Systems brochure
Yes it is, do not confuse Post WWII East German Zeiss Jena with Zeiss West Germany. Two different countries two different microscope companies. Key word is Jena. Key dates are 1946 (split) and 1989 (joined again). Best not to attempt to mix and match. This "Optical guide" is for Zeiss West BRD ...
If you come across the word Zeiss on its own, it always refers to Zeiss West Germany or the company before 1946 or the company after 1989.
