The Venerable Spencer/AO/Reichert/Cambridge/Leica 820 turned 100 years old last year or a bit before.

The black ones were produced for many years, into the 1950s I think. I have one also.
This morning I found another online Spencer catalog pdf from 1914 that shows the 820 as well. I think it's based on the Minot design, which was patented in the late 19th century.
