MIKROKOSMOS - german microscopy magazine 100 years archive

#1 Post by MicroBob » Tue Dec 18, 2018 6:28 pm

Hi together,

I don't know whether this link has been posted before:
After about 100 years of existence the german amateur microscopy magazine MIKROKOSMOS stopped to exist and the whole content is available for free at this website:
https://www.zobodat.at/publikation_series.php?id=220

There are only a few issues missing.

Bob

Really appreciate this link Bob. As fortune would have it, I was trying to locate this earlier today.

The Mikrokosmos archive is located on the site of a national museum in Austria, I don't know why. The publisher, Elsevier, is located in the Netherlands and most contributers have been german. There is a wealth of information in these magazines and it's also nice to read the very old ones with their reports about the methods that were used in these times to observe a nature that is not much different from today's.
