Hi Rod, Thanks for the PM. Apparently as a new member, I'm not yet allowed to reply privately until posting a bit more. To answer your question -- I do have an AO Infinity scope with a phase condenser that should work with the 10x lens. We're also looking for a 20x American Optical or the equivalent Reichert phase annulus -- have the lens but an empty spot in the Zernicke condenser -- and that's a pretty good magnification for the kids to look at pond water.

20x phase is definitely something you want for pond water, or at least, it's what I use most often for protists by far. I recommend making a bunch of noise about it in the form of Want To Buy notices, or just plain posting to the general forum saying you're looking for one. Somebody around here is likely to have an extra. Good luck!
