Hello.

I might be interested in the 8x version of the 1940s Spencer stereo microscope objective shown below. Please message if you know where I might find one. Thank you.

Later ones were also grey enamel and sometimes coated, which makes a difference.

I purchased a small group of assorted Spencer stereo microscope objectives, different eras, just to get the 6x objective. As expected, the black one worked and a grey ones did not. No one else bid on it, so it was still a good value. The black and the grey are quite similar, but not interchangeable. Well, the ones I have are not interchangeable.

Black vs. Grey

The thickness of the top portion is important. Maybe black can replace grey, but not vice versa?

I have moved the mounting plate over from one to the other. Earlier black models had a completely different mount as well.
