SOLD Vintage AO/Spencer Scope, 15 series 4 objectives, no lighting

SOLD
I've been thinking about this scope, but it just isn't getting enough attention from me so I'm planning to pass it on. I'm putting it on eBay for 125 obo, but here I'd take a much lower offer since I know it'll go to someone who will treat it right.
This is a neat classic 15 series AO/Spencer scope. It has 4 objectives, a 3.5x, a 10x, a 43x and a 43x apo (the golden one). It works, but lacks substage lighting which will need to be rectified.

It's a nice vintage piece but I rarely use compound scopes and when I do I like polarization so this just doesn't have much of a role in my workflow, and I have mixed feelings about just putting a functional scope up on a shelf as a display.

Cool looking old Black Beauty Spencer model. I notice it has the achromatic condenser with centering mounts in the condenser body. That means it was outfitted with apo objectives originally, and one remains.

This would be a good scope for somebody.

Can't see under the condenser, does it have a mirror? If it does, somebody on Ebay is selling a 370 lamp for not too bad a price. The bottom cap for the lamp holder is missing, but the electrical connections are there and it powers up. The item number is 132913106555.

Regrettably there is no mirror.

Would the microscope slide over the business end of an A/O Ortho illuminator? There's one up at Ebay now, item 163474212736.

It is hard to tell by eyeballing, but it seems possible. Thanks for the link.

Mine does! But if you'd rather use a mirror and separate lamp, a mirror is usually easy to find for $30 or less. Depending on the model, figure an adequate separate lamp for $75 or so if you are patient.

Price here down to 75 including shipping inside the US. The Tucson gem show is coming up and I'm going to need more money and more space in that order.
