Olympus CH series compatibility

#1 Post by amadej » Thu Dec 26, 2019 9:17 am

Hi,
Does anybody know technical differences between Olympus CH2, CH20 and CH20i. I own CH20 and wish to replace bulb illumination with LEDs. However, I've found nothing exactely dedicated to CH20.
Thanks for your help and time.

Have you tried searching the web for Alan Wood Olympus information ? many specs and manuals are available from the Alanwood site. Just downloaded a manual of the CH20i.

Suggest to inquired at https://www.tdkk.nl/. They specialise in LED lights for microscopes.

Their website is in Dutch and (partially) in English.

No connection just a satisfied customer.

Thank you deBult and Hobbyst46 for links provided. I am afraid that the manuals will not help. I need full information about technical design (including dimensions) of lightning compartment to judge what will eventually fit in and from which type of scope. Or personal experience from somebody who has already fit LEDs into CH20. Thanks again.

To my knowledge The CH20 series uses a 6 V 20 W – Philips 7388.

As per my provided TDKK link: they supply a LED module that simply replaces the 7388 : 1 minute exchange and done.

Best
