Does anyone have a spare they would like to sell?
My local protozoa would like to be seen a little better.

There's one on Ebay now for $89. Looks to be in good condition.

The 1022 is a fine objective but it is only a snudge better than the 20X .50 #1077. It doesn't show up for sale much, either. There is one of those on ebay too, in a group with a couple of other objectives. With protozoa you won't notice much difference.
ebay # 312851838919. .....50.00.
AO initially released the 1075 4x .12, 1076 10x .25, 1077 20x .50, 1078 45x .66 and 1079 100x 1.25 0il as the objective set for the fledgling series 10 in the early 60's. Actually, really early on, they followed the previous pattern and released an infinity corrected 97X 1.25 oil, which lasted only, briefly.
Then the # 1116 45X .66 came along , which had an ever so slight increased W.D. over 1078 and worked better with the haemocytometer. On the used market, 1116 outnumbers 1078 by at least 10 :1. but aside from the w.d. the two objectives have similar performance.

Sometime around 1965 or 6, the 1075 4X and 1076 10X started showing up marked plan achro. Later in 1967 sometime, the 1017, 1019, 1022, 1023 and 1024 series of plan achros came out. In optical construction and performance, the 1075 seems identical to the 1017 and the 1076 identical to the 1019. Just the barrels have been changed to fit with the rest of the series. The 1077 wasn't quite plan enough so the 1022 was born but the 1077 is close, though.

Thanks for all the great info, Apo...
I was able to get a 1022 on eBay, but at price of 150% of my entire microscope.
Now I’m committed to this hobby.
