The Voice
Out of the dark
a voice said,
"Do you know who that is?"
I swear
I was asleep then,
And when I opened my eyes
Francios, the cat
was looking down at me
from a perch on the pillow.
I could only greet her as I
greet the morning,
the first thanks of the day.
I did wonder who spoke,
but had no one to ask.
I let Wonder answer.
