Age has brought me
to a misty place of raw surprises
and even they are turning real,
like a view that changes law-breakers
into stone. I may be frozen in stone,
flesh transformed by surprise.
This is a kind of magic
embodied in ordinary days.
It happens: story-teller magic.
Time had found me,
ran me down.
