Private Messages are not being send

I encounter the problem that when I send a private message it seems to be stuck in the outbox.
So for ex. I have outbox with 3 messages and the 'sent messages' = 0
Does anyone also have this problem or am I doing something wrong?

My understanding is that they are sent, but they do not show as 'sent' until the recipient opens them. They are siting unopened in their mail boxes.

is that certain? Because I've got the same issue and as far as I remember, my last pm's (a year ago) went directly into sent items.

So, I have just discovered I have also messages in the "outbox" but none sent.

Was there a definite conclusion that these were really "sent" but unopened by recipient, or is it a problem?

For quite a few weeks, my 'sent PM's' show no indication they were "sent"..they just sit in my "outbox"..it does seem like an irregularity. charlie g
