Not sure if this was covered before. Anyone else read this? Comments...

Thanks for the link! Amazing progress. Just as optical microscopy was closing on electron microscopy, and has been presenting high resolution beyond diffraction limits, EM rewidened the gap with a quantum leap (pun) forward.

I love the chairs in the picture of Zen Chen. 1950's wooden office chairs and he is using the world's highest resolution electron microscope while sitting in one. Cornell is a great place. I spent a bit of time at the NYS Agriculture Experiment Station and it is a place steeped in tradition but right on the edge of peak innovation, at the same time.
