Yes, IF it leaves you time to enjoy the beauty, rather than devote day and night to the academic duties...and that is a big if...

Not to mention the time spent in specimen preparation. If you could take it home at weekends though..

A very big if indeed. Best case scenario would be to retire early and set up a dream lab in the basement.
