Hello
After some working time the Lomo ML2 microscope is working.
The microscope was completely blocked (dry fat) and lacking cleaning.
It was disassembled piece by piece, cleaned, old grease removed and new grease, mechanical cleaning and optics and adjustments.
The ML2 microscope was designed for fluorescence but could be converted, changing the illuminator, as a "universal" (MBI 11) microscope; Illumination epi - dia, phase contrast, dark field, oblique lighting ..... and all accessories designed for Lomo microscopes.
The lamp of the illuminator of the MBI 11 is a bulb of 12V 100W (special cap) difficult to locate so it was replaced by LED
The difference between ML2 and MBI 11 are the fluorescence filters that ML2 has.
A good microscope, something "rough" but stable and with great possibilities.

Very nice looking instrument! Of course I am partial to the LOMO scopes.

Yes, that is a wonderful instrument... I have never seen a Lomo as complex as that.. Do you happen to know what type of base is on the bulb you seek?..
