Hi, I just got this Microscope, I saw it for sale on Facebook, and I asked if the gentleman would ship it to me across the province. He agreed and I got the scope yesterday.
According to this Article here, it is from around 1944?

Here are a few pictures.
The thing is in spectacular condition, I don't think there is a single scratch or scuff. I would believe it was built yesterday, if it were not for the fact that we don't see things like this built any more.
Does it make sense that the scope is from around 1944? I thought by 1935, Spencer had already been acquired by American Optical, and the Microscope would have the AO logo somewhere.
I have another Spencer Monocular that should be from around 1947 according to the serial number, and it has the AO logo on it.
When did Spencer start to do this, with the AO logo?
Please would love to hear some comments on the scope, the condition seems totally obscenely good.

That looks sweet! Looks like it was hardly used and great condition.

In 1935 American Optical purchased Spencer, but the logo on the scope did not change to AO until 1945.
