Multiplication
I don't really know what's going on. Two years ago when I started this hobby I had a small monocular scope and a small stereo scope. Suddenly I stepped into the lab this morning and there were five microscopes, all of them of the professional level. They cover things like biology, petrographics, metallurgy.
The only reason for this that I can surmise is that you should never have them close together in a warm, dark room. And for heaven's sake. Use the dust covers. They multiply like rabbits.

Re: Multiplication
Well as a responsible parent of these scopes have you had “the talk” with them? Knowledge is power...

Hi Greg
I only have 2 scopes and a camera having only been in the hobby for just over 2 weeks, but the amount of accessories and kit is growing exponentially and so is the cost. Looks like I've fallen down yet another rabbit hole.

Re: Multiplication
I put condoms on mine but they still multiply. I even put them in cardboard cells but cell rooms are full.

Ugh! It is indeed a disease! Pictured are a few of my black beauties in storage several years ago... I worry a bit that the Orthoplans and the Ortholuxs (plural sp?) will co-mingle and create a very widefield frankenscope with sexy curves
