Received my new microscope today in the mail.

#1 Post by starguy75 » Mon Sep 26, 2016 8:53 pm

Today Purolator handed me my first microscope, its an Amscope T490B which can be upgraded to darkfield and phase contrast directly by amscope accessories. I'm waiting on another box that contains some slides and a 3MP usb camera. I set it up on my desk today but don't have any slides to use with it yet, I think there's 5 sample ones in one of the slide staining kits I ordered which should come this week. I'll keep you posted and will post my first images once I get some basic slide preparing tools which I also ordered.

I have an Amscope and I think you will be happy with it. As you gain experience there are many upgrades you can add.

Good luck and welcome to a fascinating micro world.

As you wait for the rest of your "stuff" to arrive, you might post a few photos of your scope. We like scope photos.
