Got a new scope!

#1 Post by Cyclops » Tue Jun 06, 2017 2:12 pm

Well, secondhand anyway...Spotted this Apex Practicioner in Cash Converters the other day and had to put a deposit on it. It needed some work (stage and condenser were wonky) but we got there, and for £60 it was a bit of a bargain. Not bad optics either, tho I have some spares now (including a 100x oil immersion I'll never use)

Certainly is miles better than the cheap Chinese one I've been using over the years! Totally different league.

Congratulations

I seem to recall that your previous one was also a monocular - do you prefer them?
Zeiss Standard WL (somewhat fashion challenged) & Wild M8
Olympus E-P2 (Micro Four Thirds Camera)

I can only see through one eye so a binocular would be wasted.
