Monolux flickering light

#1 Post by drcubbin » Sun Apr 12, 2015 11:32 pm

I have an electric lighted Monolux with a light that flickers. It may work fine for a few seconds, but it doesn't last long enough to make it worth using. I see it uses 3 rechargeable AA batteries in addition to the plug. Any suggestions?

Welcome drcubbin. Flickering light: check to see if there are any loose or corroded connections or contacts, including at the bulb socket. Does it also flicker if you use battery power? If all is well with the connections, it could be that the bulb is about to fail.

Hi drcubbin,
An image of your Monolux microscope and your illuminator would be nice.
Zeiss Standard WL (somewhat fashion challenged) & Wild M8
Olympus E-P2 (Micro Four Thirds Camera)
