New Amscope SMT2

#1 Post by microbob3 » Wed May 13, 2020 6:07 pm

My new Amscope came today. It is a lousy day here in IN. US. Rain and cool but I had time to play with my new scope. Pretty easy to put togeather. Took awhile to find focus with my Canon 450d. But it worked, First time looking though a Stereo scope and I was impressed with the view. Just a common river rock was stunning. I love my compound scope but this is really neat' plus I love taking pics and the trinocular head really makes it nice. Here are my first pics though a microscope. The only thing I do not like is that my Canon t2 nose just slides in the triport and does not screw so it just sits on top. Works but I would like to have more of a solid connection. Well thanks.

Congrats on the new scope and nice pics! I love my stereoscope. I almost always use focus stacking on my stereo pics to improve the depth perception/3D effect. Enjoy!

Thanks geo man. I use stacking in my astrophotography images ' We take like 50 3min images of galaxies 'nebulas ect and stack them to reduce noise and build up the image. Have to look into that for this hobby. Thanks Bob

Different concept I'm afraid ... in microscopy it's focus [ Z axis ] stacking
