I think they might have delamination? interested in anyone elses opinion?

The coating might be worn or just dirty. Difficult to tell from just this photo. If the left one looks in reality like this it might clean up nicely with something like lighter fluid.

Agree with Bob, coating probably worn or just dirty.
They should both look greenish when clean.
Petrolum ethers, as Bob suggested, might help remove some residues where soap or alcohol won't easily.
