Objective M27 thread extension

#1 Post by Mindwarp » Sun Jan 10, 2021 12:43 pm

Hello Gang,

I’m searching some objective M27 thread extension tube (15 or 16 mm). Some idea/links for a good cheap source as I didn’t found some in Ebay.
Thanks you all.

That's not a very popular thread--all I can think of are Nikon CF infinity bd objectives. You might need to have this custom made.

It would be clunky and expensive, but there are M27 to RMS and RMS to M27 adapters. You could cobble together something with a short RMS parfocal adapter in between.

Some of the Lomo stuff is M27 - might be something there.

If you're planning to do this with more than one spacer, as Scarodactyl suggests, it's likely best to get someone with a metric threading lathe to make up a few.

Thanks you both of you Scarodactyl and Pete.
I’m asking that as I received a beautifully Apo objective for Axiomat. So the thread part on the objective is not on the top but 1/3 down, and there is a huge upper protubing part that needs to be covered by an extension tube.

I did something with tape + plastic tube, but I’m looking for something more clean and permanent.
