cover slips

I ‘ve noticed different size cover slips available. Are there any recommendations> Swift 4x 40x 100x objectives.

Do you mean size like 18x18mm or thickness like 0,17mm?

The thickness is usually stated on the objectives. "-" unsually means "doesn't matter", this will be the case with your 4x.
0,17 will probably be written on your 40x and your cover slips should be about this, better a little thinner than thicker. The 100x is oil immersion and the cover slip thickness doens't matter a lot as long as it is not too thick. Thicknes s#1 or #1,5 are right for general use. For highest demands high precision cover slips are available for a lot more money. Then there are cover slips from unknown sources: You will get whatever is not needed elsewhwere independent of what is written on the box... :shock:
