Recipe for a Romanowsky stain solution?

#1 Post by Raul » Sat Oct 24, 2015 7:24 pm

Hi guys I want to make the solution using methylene blue and eosin. I am interested in the proportions to use and also other aspects like buffers or oxidants for m.b.. I know that I can buy a cheap Giemsa stain, but I want to explore the science behind it.

Thank you.

If you haven't come across Walter Dioni's articles in microscopy-uk, you should definitely have a look.

Thank you Seb28, the last link had some good information on quantities. I will experiment and if those look fine I will post some pictures:).
