.

I sincerely hope that someone will prove me wrong; but I think the search is fundamentally flawed.
… It appears to have been written by someone who had no grasp of the basics.

Try, for example, searching for Leitz condenser numerical aperture

You will see that although it finds the other words … it deliberately ignores condenser

in other searches, you may well find that most of the significant words have been ignored !!

Edit: __ here’s another little gem: search for zeiss objective and it returns the message
.
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: zeiss objective.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.
.
Whereas, what it should do is use those two words as a ‘coarse filter’ to reduce the size of the data-set and allow faster searching for whatever word you choose next.

Use an external search engine instead.
If you search for 'Leitz condenser numerical aperture site:microbehunter.com' (without the apostrophes) on Google you'll get much more relevant hits.

I use Google's advanced search and limit the domain to the forum.

I search this forum a lot - so much excellent information here!

All you need to do is format your google search like:

Olympus BH2 site:microbehunter.com

And you will get much more relevant results :)

Very helpful for other forums as well!
