Zeiss Epi filters

#1 Post by wstenberg » Sat Aug 19, 2017 3:40 pm

My microscope seems to be missing some critical parts to the filter block for the epi-illumination. The cap is here, but nothing inside. Seems like there should be a filter block with a dichroic mirror... I need to get one, but I'm not sure what this part looks like. I'm guessing it's just a single filter block. Any assistance appreciated!

Your epi unit seems to be missing a lot. There shoud be a mirror section on that H-PL insert and there should be a unit which attaches to that round opening for adding round filters and a built in iris diaphragm.

There are various inserts available, D for Darkfield, FL for fluoro, H-PL-POl and others.

I have the section with the light, iris and slide-in filters. It's just off while I'm doing some maintenance. This is a Zeiss Photomicroscope. It's not currently operational, but getting closer every day.

I found a Fl filter for it. There are a few others on EBay, but they want a fortune for them! I'll keep looking.

Appreciate the help!
