Hello Comunity!
My name is Pablo, I'm from Chile, and I'm wondering if you can help me out with this experience.
I am trying to observe legume starch from a flour already milled. I know that i can use a iodine solution to stain the starch granules, but im not really sure if a light microscope (an optical, thats all i have for now) can do the job. The final point is to observe structure, if theres starch rupture or not.
Any help would be appreciate it... btw the starch granules are in the range of 20-50 um.
Thanks!

Viewing through crossed polars is usually best.

You don't need anything very technical ... two discs of Polaroid filter will do.
