Hi!
When trying to find a remedy for the low image quality in my Lumipan LPE Microscope, I found that a polarizing filter in the bottom of the "ocular assembly" or "head" was shriveled, creating the irritating shadow in the pictures I took of some test glasses with pollen.
The effect was so deleterious I chose to remove it and face the consequences. It greatly enhanced the image quality :0) .
Now, the filter is there for a reason and I'd like to make a working equvalent. For that purpose I need a polarizing (as clear as possible, I wont get a sunburn in this case) plastic sheet to cut out a new filter from. I have tried, and ordered, things, but they did not have the optical quality necessary. If someone out there can suggest a brand of plastic or site where plane, polarizing, non colored, plastic can be bought ( or if someone has a wholly different idea ) I'd greatly appreciate it!
