Olympus CX40 Koehler Illumination Alignment

#1 Post by BombusT » Thu Jan 09, 2020 11:19 pm

Hi everyone. I have a CX40 with what I believe to be the standard CH3-CD condenser. Unfortunately I don't have the auxillary lens to correctly centre the condenser, leaving the field iris out of alignment (when fully stopped down it appears too high and to the right). I'm assuming this will reduce the image quality, but by how much? I would love to get hold of the auxillary lens to centre it properly (can't find any on ebay), but does anyone know of any workarounds or should I not be too worried? Appreciate your help
Mike
