Heyo. I recently bought one of these objectives and was reading about the correction collar. Mine doesn't turn. I noticed this screw that isn't present on the other objectives (left: Splan Apo 40X Dry, right: Splan Apo 100X Oil) and it has a correction collar nit pointing to it. Am I right in thinking you have to rotate this screw to allow the collar to turn? Couldn't find anything about this online and I don't want to ruin an ancient piece of optics by screwing around (pun intended.)
Olympus Plan Apo 40x 0.95NA 0.11-0.23 coverslip - correction collar screw?

The little screw probably just fixes the chrome sleeve onto the [seized with old grease] helicoid adjuster.

I see, it's unrelated and the mechanism is just seized. I'll have to take it up with eBay. Thanks!MichaelG. wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 8:04 pmThe little screw probably just fixes the chrome sleeve onto the [seized with old grease] helicoid adjuster.
