Hi Yvan.
I think many of us have an obsessive streak. I certainly do. You appear to have it too.
But you have certainly found a forum where you can share the positive side to that personality type.
And those of us who like our histolgy are very happy to have you on board to share some of that hard won knowledge.
I tend to be time-poor but at some point I'll find some time to try out some zoo sections and am very pleased to have someone I could ask advice about this.

And it sounds like you have found a good and useful home for some of your equipment.

Whilst your slide cabinet looks like it seen better days, I'm guessing that many of the slides will be fine.

Whilst I may be saying very obvious things but why don't you join a slide sharing club? (I could give details of at least one if you needed them)

I for one, Yvan, would really like to see some of your slides in the future, if you can do that. That work is a treasure and should be appreciated. I'm glad at least, that you got equipment back, in disarray maybe but at least back.
I've been there, am there. I lent some self fabricated stainless equipment to someone, I was trying to help. Turned out they were a lunatic.The stuff is now outside and on private property and the person has vamoosed. I may have to steal it back.

I hope your health issues have stabilized, Yvan, I'm glad microscopy has been a guiding star for you over the decades and changes.

It is an honor to be able to share the microscopy you started with a toy microscope, microscopy deffered due the world and life demands, and your hearty resumption of microtechnique.microscopy, and sharing with us forum folk...thank you,Yvan! All those teachers were touched by your docent offerings...nothing obsesive/compulsive about the craft, art and science you have kept active in as practicle demands permitted.

Thinking of the nonsense foisted upon we individuals as desired needs and beliefs , plus the :'shut up and eat it', ...well, I sense you are no old hippie but living as best you can in balance ( if you lie down on a couch and read my cheer for you...I will not bill you).

I once read, years ago in a microtechnique forum out of Germany, a really nice forum member there laugh about how to 'normal people' it seems so strange that people form communities online over chopping and cutting things up..to stain the tiny chunks..and often ruin their clothes and stain their fingers in the activity. This now comes to mind as I marvel at your headon approach over the years to microtechnique...very equipment/lab setup demanding microtechnique...bravo and thank you Yvan. charlie guevara, finger lakes/US
