amscope software

in the amscope software that came with my MU300 camera, when I record video without checking the time limit box, it should stop recording when I hit the button but it only keeps 30 seconds maximum about even if I let it run a few minutes, why is this? it seems to have a maximum limit on the file recording? i'm using this on windows 10 and using wmv file type
